We undergo gliding course for students who are quite interested and matured.

Advance Paragliding Course: 30,000 INR (470.00 Euros)
Duration: seven days equivalent to seventeen sessions.

Training Manual and your primary reference book (1500.00 INR) (27 Euros).

A minimum of 23 flights, lots of theory and personal tuition.

An open-book for Theoretical Knowledge.

Duration: You should be able to complete the full paragliding course
within a fortnight
(evenings or weekends), depending on the effort you put in,
the time you make available and the weather.

Once complete, an additional payment to flyoctane for the license,
Which includes the mandatory casevac insurance, membership,

flyoctane magazine. flyoctane Membership is renewable annually.
Membership to flyoctane (for 7 months) (20,000.00 INR) (400 Euros).

The requirements are:

A minimum of three sites flown.

A minimum of seven different days flown.

A minimum of twenty three flights flown under instructor supervision,

(Note: you may do some flights from a 300m slope, but then they will not be counted).

A minimum of seven forward pullups(alpine) in less than 5kph wind resulting in successful launch.

A minimum of seven reverse pullups in more than 15kph which result in a successful launch,

At least one planned out landing at least 30km from the launch,

Where the student does the remote field and conditions evaluation from the air before landing,

After at least 20 minutes on the takeoff, the student again does the evaluation of launching conditions.

At least one cross country flight of 37km distance,

Where the first turn-point is not visible from launch and
the student exhibits all aspects,

Flight planning, navigation, airspace awareness and avoidance where required,
radio communications,

Emergency landing options awareness, traffic separation procedures, equipment management, etc.

No Out and return along the same radial permitted, so a triangle is suggested.

All manoeuvres that are required for the PG license, must again be demonstrated,

Such as big-ears, emergency steering, asymmetric deflation's, rapid decent options, etc.

Aleast seven 10 meter spot landings must be demonstrated.

There are a few other requirements as well, which your instructor will detail.


The Intermediate Conversion Course:
20,000 INR (400.00 Euros)
Duration: seven days equivalent to seventeen sessions.

   On our Equipment

Theory of paragliding flight.

Ground-handling with the glider (As required).

A minimum of seven flights
(including one cross country, one remote out landing and re-launch).

An open-book Theoretical Test (write this at home at your own leisure).

To ensure you have a thorough understanding of these aspects.

The requirements are:

A minimum of seven flights flown from level ground under instructor supervision,

The Basic Aircraft Radio Course:
10,000 INR (200.00 Euros)

Duration: seven days equivalent to seventeen sessions.

The Basic Aircraft Radio Course can be done with any Flying School,

But we strongly suggest you do this with a Certified ATC Instructor.

We have a special arrangement at himalayas,
Where the radio course is done over one week intensive training at a cost of only 200 Euros.
This course is run ad-hock when there are a total of five students for the radio course.
You need to book well in advance (through us) also bring Four passport size photographs.
